Was itching to try out my new board and sail and as I arrived the conditions looked as if they weren't going to play ball. However, people on the water told me it was windier than it looked. Rigged the new 6.5 and stuck it on the new board and literally ran to the water. Well powered up on the first run and the board was so well behaved, it was as if I'd had it for years. Next run out was hairier and sailed well overpowered for about 1/2 hour before deciding to change down to 5.7. Finished rigging new size to be met by people coming in claiming 5m would be more like it. Oh well, didn't have time to re-rig so opted for a little more down and outhaul - it meant I could just about hold onto the sail (there was a bigger guy than me tanking around on a 4.9). The new board was noticably bigger than my old 90ltr one and the wind hooked under it a few times.

Fantastic day - only shame of it was as I put the new board back in the bag, I noticed the tail had a small ding. JP's fragile? I think I'll go an get another tube of Dr.Ding.
